Her work experience focused around the Manhattan fashion clothing scene where she worked in clothing fashion related areas including Fashion Editor for a national magazine. After moving to Mendocino on the North Coast of California, Arlene began using her experience to design and make women's clothes in the quaint town of Mendocino. This led to the opening of "Tickle Your Fancy" women's clothing boutique in Mendocino.
